There’s foul air on our planet. It is not only a matter of atmospheric pollution, and the need to reduce waste and squandering.
Polluting words and harmful ideas are circulating. Civil and ethical barbarity has become mainstream to the point of being accepted.
There is a perpetual rage against human dignity, both of individuals and of entire peoples; inequality is rising; we are moving dangerously backwards.
However, a sane part of the world still stands, unwavering. Sometimes its breath goes short, like when climbing up a steep hill. Sometimes its voice is only a slight whisper, and one must stop and listen carefully in order to hear it.
We hope these days will be a way for us to give each other new breath, together, and to share it around us. The world does not belong to those who scream, who divide, who attack.
The world belongs to those, like us, who want to make it better. Let’s give voice to every ounce of our breath to affirm it.
