An observed, categorised and projected queer body becomes an instrument for reappropriation. Through movement and speech, certain effeminate gestures transform the bodily experience into a political and poetic act.
French dancer and choreographer Andrea Givanovitch trained in both classical ballet and contemporary dance. He performs for international choreographers as well as creating his own works straddling performance, politics, and queer bodily expression. His main works include LeatherBetter, premiering at the 2025 Biennale de la danse de Lyon.
