Autumn 1951: it’s raining. The flooding breaks the banks of the Po river, and the Polesine area becomes a huge lake of 70 square kilometres. People flee without being able to decide what to take; people flee to return; people return to start again. Autumn 2021: it’s raining. A woman is moving house yet again. She scans the rooms, and decides to take away everything she owns.
Matilde Vigna trained as an actress at the school of the Teatro Stabile in Turin, under the direction of Valter Malosti, where she graduated in 2015. She continued her studies with the Emilia Romagna Teatro advanced training course, under the direction of Antonio Latella. She was a 2018 Ubu Award finalist in the best under 35 actress category, and at the 2022 Ubu Award in the Best new play / Dramaturgical writing category.
