An exploration of the works of Italo Calvino, with one word in mind: freedom. On stage is a man, or rather, his inner voice. Among the many characters of Calvino’s novels, he is the least free: he has a body, a language and a mind that do not react to his urgency to speak and to act.
Director, actor and playwright Mario Perrotta is considered one of the leading artists on the Italian theatre scene. He won, among others, the 2022 Ubu Award for Best new play / Dramaturgical writing for Dei figli.
