Trapped between love and duty, a young woman cares for her sick grandparents to the point of losing herself. She strives to find a way out by transforming guilt into an act of extreme rebellion.
The artistic collective Progetto Nichel, born in the Cilento National Park, has devised the mise en place of La cara dei vecchi by Elvira Buonocore (1989), within the NdN 2024-25 call for production. The text, winner of the Bando Autori 2024, is authored by the Campania-born playwright and actress Buonocore, who has been awarded the 2019 Dante Cappelletti Award by Tuttoteatro.com and the 2021 Per fare il teatro che ho sognato Award.
