In an attempt to imagine a world without hierarchies of ability between bodies, the two apparently distant performers redefine gestures through a ‘mixed’ choreography, highlighting disability as an integral and powerful part of bodily expression.
Renae Shadler is a choreographer and performer, and founder of the Berlin-based art collective Renae Shadler & Collaborators; with Roland Walter, an artist with total paralysis, she explores new ways towards body expression and transformation.
