What happens when salsa, cha cha, jive and polka lose their variability? Through a choreography reduced to simplified crude gestures, four performers invite the audience to reflect on how the body can be used and moved in an age dominated by mechanisation.
Lost Movement is a company founded in 2011 by Nicolò Abbattista with Christian Consalvo, who is now artistic director. Their works have been presented at the Idaco Festival in New York, the Solo Dance Contest in Gdansk, and Platform14 in Berlin. They have been awarded, among others, the 2022/2023 Movin’ Up Performing Arts Special Award and the 2025 Danza Urbana XL Award.
