A reinterpretation of writer Georg Büchner’s unfinished drama about the army barber Woyzeck, beheaded in Leipzig in 1824 for murdering the widow of a surgeon. The hell of a man who killed and was killed by society.
Carmelo Alù is a Sicilian director, graduated at Silvio d’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art in Rome. In 2019, he was selected for the European project Beyond the Sud promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture, with which he debuted at the Centro Cultural San Martin in Buenos Aires.
