An experimental work on the relationship of assonance-dissonance-resonance between movement and music. Between the meshes of this link, the expressive possibilities of dance in its maximum abstraction are investigated, within a choreographic structure defined in the macro, which is each time relived and recreated in the micro (as in the processual nature of musical composition). Changes in the state of the body bring about changes at the energetic-dynamic level, creating with music the conditions for a highly immersive sensory experience.
Ilenia Romano graduated with honors from the AND. As a performer she confronts with: P. Bausch, J. Godani, W. McGregor, I. Ivo, R. Orlin as part of โLa Compagnia dell’AND.โ He then dances for: Les gens d’Uterpan, M. Van Hoecke, DEOS / G. Di Cicco, Compagnia Zappalร Danza (dancer and assistant). Today she collaborates with Compagnia AB Dance Research and with ALDES/R. Castello (dancer and assistant). She is choreographer in productions of Teatro Stabile di Catania (2020/21) and Teatro Nazionale di Genova (2022/23). As of 2019, she is among the choreographers of the โCrossing the seaโ project.
