An intergenerational workshop on the new legends of the web
👻 Have you ever told a scary story or an urban legend as a bedtime tale? How many do you know? Today there is a world of new legends born on the web: digital tales that are no longer passed down by word of mouth, but through keyboards and screens.
✨ Spooky Internet Stories, the free workshop by artist Mara Oscar Cassiani, is an opportunity for women over 50—matriarchs, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, daughters, and friends—to bring these stories to life. A unique chance to become keepers of oral tradition once again, but in a digital key.
🎭 No theatrical experience required: just bring your voice, memory, and imagination.
The stories, shared online, will become the focus of a podcast presented during the Digital Residencies week in December.
Workshop format

MARA OSCAR CASSIANI is a Wi-Fi-based artist working at the intersection of performance, choreography, and digital media, blending ritual clubbing, online subcultures, and avatar imaginaries. Her practice builds a contemporary iconography inspired by the internet and brutal capitalism, through live acts in physical spaces and open-source virtual environments. Her performances are visual flows that mix digital folklore, pop culture, and social critique, creating a “visual fast food” experience that oscillates between kitsch, ritual, and apocalyptic visions.
