The project, curated by Pietro Gaglianò, recreates the 15th-century Palio della Balestra, a banner representing the community of Sansepolcro. The weave of fabrics donated by citizens, was unravelled by Una Valle di Donne Association and rewoven together by the students of the Art High School Giovagnoli. The new Palio will be exhibited during the Settembre Biturgense and presented to its winners.
Giovanna Bianco and Pino Valente live in Naples, where they met in 1993. Since 2008 they have been curating, with Pasquale Campanella, the public art project A Cielo Aperto, developed in Latronico, in Basilicata, to work on the construction of an open-air museum.
