The Night Just Before the Forests, by Bernard-Marie Koltès, broke into Avignon for the first time in 1977. The protagonist is an outcast man, a foreigner who pursues something, and runs away from something else. In this version, Pippo Delbono faces Koltès, in a hand-to-hand of autobiographies.
Pippo Delbono comes from Liguria; he is an author, actor and director. His performances stand out for a rigorous and generous work that starts from the actor’s body, and for a theatrical poetics based on people and not on characters.
