A performance centered on running, which becomes a metaphor for a paradoxical existential condition: that of moving while remaining in place. A treadmill training session becomes the occasion for an imaginative drift, set to sounds drawn from both Baroque music and the world of entertainment, capable of redefining the very meaning of athletic practice. With this project, Gaetano Palermo and Michele Petrosino continue their exploration of the nature of the performative act rooted in everyday life, creating a minimal choreography of concrete gestures, on the boundary between reality and fiction.
Gaetano Palermo and Michele Petrosino are an artistic duo working across visual and performative arts. Their research explores the ontology of movement at the boundary between reality and fiction. Their work has been supported and presented by festivals and institutions at the national level.
