An empty, unfiltered audience can reward or punish the performer, depending on instinct, taste, and mood. And with every choice, something changes—not only for the performer, but also for the observer. Between tension and play, the boundary blurs, certainties waver. We find ourselves accomplices, judges, perhaps even responsible.
Giulio Santolini is a performer, choreographer, and performing arts instructor trained at the Accademia dello Stabile del Veneto. He collaborates with internationally renowned companies such as CollettivO CineticO, Enzo Cosimi, Marcos Morau / La Veronal, Sharon Fridman, and Sotterraneo, with whom he won two Ubu Awards (2019 and 2022) for Best Performance of the Year. In 2024, he made his playwriting debut with Le Baccanti – fare schifo con gloria.
