We are pleased to announce that we have won the 2023 Live and National and International Promotion Call of the “Per Chi Crea” program, promoted by the MiC and managed by SIAE, which allocates 10 percent of “private copy” fees to support creativity and cultural promotion of young people.
Thanks to this contribution, we will realize the choreographic review “Danza Under 35” which hosts 4 of the most innovative young Italian authors: Adriano Bolognino, Sofia Nappi, Gianmaria Borzillo, Pablo Girolami.
In addition to the quality of the work produced, what the 4 authors have in common is that they have all been selected, between 2021 and 2023, by the Kilowatt Visionaries. The Visionaries are the group of more than 40 citizens of Sansepolcro and the surrounding area, non-artists, who work together each year, for 8 months, meeting weekly, to view more than 400 proposals and arrive at a choice of 9 shows to be presented at Kilowatt.
Therefore, the “Danza Under 35” review proposes the most recent works of 4 of the best artists of young Italian dance who, returning again to Kilowatt, already have an audience that has loved, chosen, defended, and valued them, and that can be the starting point to support their presence in the city. The festival will be held in Sansepolcro, within the program of Kilowatt 2024 and, while maintaining its autonomy and specificity, this location will amplify its visibility, with the many spectators, journalists, operators, who are used to attend the festival.
