The Municipal School of Theater, directed by CapoTrave/Kilowatt in cooperation with the Municipality of Sansepolcro and in collaboration with Tedamis and Tutto Fa Brodway, involves different realities of the area to offer to the students a plural knowledge of the disciplines of the scene, through the activities with professional teachers and trainers, including: Lucia Franchi, Chiara Ramanzini and Luca Ricci of CapoTrave/Kilowatt, Alessia Martinelli of Tedamis, Michela Mirabucci of Tutto Fa Brodway, Gilda Foni of TeatrOlistico, Massimo Boncompagni, actor and trainer, and Lodovico Rossi (musician and singing teacher).
The course for children and teens aims to encourage creativity, imagination and group collaboration through theatrical play. The basic techniques and tools of stage work are introduced, we are confronted with exercises, stage games and improvisations, both individual and group.
The course for adults aged 15 to 80, addresses various disciplines such as directing, dramaturgy, acting, stage movement, physical theater, musicals, holistic theater, and singing. Two trimesters (September-January, February-June), each including 4 modules of 4 classes of 3 hours each. During the four-quarter term, the 4 modules are interwoven so that students can work with a different teacher each week.
On Friday, June 16, 2023, at 9 p.m. at the Teatro alla Misericordia in Sansepolcro, the end-of-year returns of the students of the adult and children’s courses, entitled “The Birds,” based on Aristophanes’ famous comedy, and “StraLunati,” inspired by Orlando furioso.
The new courses will start in September: trial classes on Tuesday, Sept. 19 (children’s course) and Thursday, Sept. 21 (adult course).
