Based on the 2019 Strega Award finalist novel Farewell, Ghosts, this is the story of a woman, struggling with the emptiness of an absence: her father left home when she was a child, never to return. Many years later, she is called back to her hometown by her mother: she needs her daughter’s help.
Fanny & Alexander is an art atelier founded in Ravenna in 1992 by Luigi de Angelis and Chiara Lagani. In over 25 years of their career, they have received important awards such as Ubu Special Award in 2000 and 2005. Anna Bonaiuto and Valentina Cervi are two actresses from theatre and cinema, both familiar to Italian audience, who are working together for the first time on this show.
