Every year Kilowatt Festival organises public meetings that are opportunities of exchange, reflection and analysis, with the aim to widen the horizons of thought.

Giovedi 23 luglio
19:00 – 20:00 (Piazza Garibaldi inside Piazza dei Beni Comuni)
Presentazione del libro “Lo Spettatore è un Visionario”

Audience development and audience engagement are two recent concepts, already worn out by the cultural debate. Lucia Franchi and Luca Ricci, founders of CapoTrave/Kilowatt Association, tell their experience about these practices, started when there were not yet words to define them. Free entrance.

Da Venerdì 24 a Domenica 26 luglio
11:00 -12:30
Feedback Visionari

The group of 38 Visionari (the spectators who are not professionals) examined all year long each of the 370 artistic proposals received, in order to choose 8 shows among them for the festival programme. The cycle of public meetings, open to the audience, is the occasion to debate about the shows attended the day before, together with the companies and the Visionari who selected them.

The public meetings have place on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th at Auditorium di Santa Chiara (the Saturday meeting, in the framework of the event Visionari d’Italia, unitevi!) and Sunday 26th in the Palazzo delle Laudi’s open gallery. Free entrance.

Sabato 25 luglio
10:30 – 16:30 (Auditorium Santa Chiara)
Visionari d’Italia, unitevi!

The public meeting gathers the voices and the thoughts of some citizens, among the 400 Visionari coming from the various groups spread through Italy: a day dedicated to the exchange, to meet each other and define new challenges for the participatory processes.

The partners of the Italia dei Visionari network are eleven. Free entrance.

Domenica 26 luglio
10:30 -17:30 (Auditorium Santa Chiara)
Micro e macro drammaturgie della danza

With Anghiari Dance Hub
speakers: Fabio AccaGaia Clotilde Chernetich, Salvo Lombardo, Roberta Nicolai, Alessandro Pontremoli, Cristina Kristal Rizzo, Stefano Tomassini, Gerarda Ventura.

The dramaturgy of dance: do we need it?

It is a combination of methodologies and practices which “weave” the relations between involved artists – choreographers and performers – and the target audience; tools that could be implemented by the authors themselves or involve other people, such as the dramaturg.

The dramaturg of the dance could become a new profession: the meeting aims at developing an “Italian way” for the dramaturgy of dance, through the debate and the exchange of different experiences with Italian and international scholars, dramaturgs and choreographers. Free entrance.
