There is time until Wednesday, November 12<\/strong> to apply for L\u2019Italia dei Visionari 2026<\/em> through the Sonar platform<\/strong>: an opportunity open to individual artists and independent companies working professionally in contemporary theatre, dance, and performing arts, who have produced or are about to produce a new work.
By new work<\/em> we mean a performance that has premiered or will premiere between January 2025 and summer 2026<\/strong>.
To apply, artists are required to upload a video to the Sonar portal<\/strong> \u2013 a system created by Straligut Teatro (Siena) \u2013 along with some artistic information and the show\u2019s technical sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call is promoted by six organizations, including Italian theatres and festivals<\/strong>: CapoTrave<\/strong><\/a> \/ <\/strong>Kilowatt<\/strong><\/a> (Sansepolcro AR), Festival Le Citt\u00e0 Visibili<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>(Rimini), Progetto Fertili Terreni Teatro<\/strong><\/a> ( A.M.A. Factory<\/a>, Cubo Teatro<\/a>, Tedac\u00e0<\/a><\/strong> who manage the theatres of BellArte, Off Topic, San Pietro in Vincoli), ErosAntEros<\/strong><\/a> \/ <\/strong>POLIS Teatro Festival<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>(Ravenna), Pilar Ternera<\/strong><\/a>\/<\/strong>NTC<\/strong><\/a> (Livorno) and Ass. Cult. Madame Rebin\u00e8 <\/strong><\/a> \/ <\/strong>Ric\u00f2<\/strong><\/a> (San Quirino PN).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In each of the cities involved in the project, a group of local spectators will be formed: the Visionari<\/strong>\u2014people who are not \u201cprofessionals\u201d in the field, but citizens who are passionate about or curious about theatre or dance. The Visionari will watch all the submitted video materials and select some of them for inclusion in the 2026\/2027 programming of each of the participating organizations\/theatres\/festivals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In each city, the local group of Visionari works independently from the other Visionari groups. By applying to the call, artists gain access to the evaluation of each Visionari group, but the outcomes of the selection will differ.
The number of selected shows will also vary: 9 at Kilowatt Festival Sansepolcro, 1 at Le Citt\u00e0 Visibili Rimini, 3 for Progetto Fertili Terreni Teatro in Turin, 2 for POLIS Teatro Festival in Ravenna, 2 for Pilar Ternera\/NTC, and 1 for Ric\u00f2 \u2013 live performances in San Quirino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the selection is free of charge. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
